Cavendish & Harvey
Cavendish & Harvey was founded in 1932 by Paul Schmedding as a trading company in Northern Germany.
In 1959, English confectionery products were added to Cavendish’s repertoire of products. In 1977, the company became Cavendish & Harvey LTD., London, and the renowned tin packaging was introduced. This packaging ensures freshness and allows the customer to open and close the packaging for extended use. The tins also preserve their contents naturally, without preservatives and are 100% recyclable.
In 1991, Cavendish & Harvey started producing its own candies at a factory in Kaltenkirchen, Germany. The company eventually changed its name to Cavendish and Harvey Confectionery GmbH, and joined the Dr. Wolfgang Boettger group of brands. Since then, C&H has been producing the finest hard candies in iconic gold packaging, growing into an internationally celebrated confectionary label.
In addition to the company’s history of quality and recognizable packaging, Cavendish & Harvey sets itself apart from its competitors by sealing its product with icing sugar, ensuring that the candies do not stick together. Each year, Cavendish & Harvey produces over 2.2 billion pieces of candy in over 25 million tins.
Cavendish & Harvey is also committed to responsibly sourcing its ingredients. Since 2005, C&H has been an IFS certified company that uses only natural flavors and colors. Furthermore, the candies are both kosher and halal certified. C&H avoids using genetically modified organisms and any raw materials that have been produced with GMOs. The German made candies are available through Euro-American Brands in a variety of flavors.
